Committees
Committees are the means by which the church actually runs. They are the groups that develop, organize, and execute the different programs of the congregation. We have three different kinds of committees: Board Committees, Congregational Committees, and Program Committees.
Board Committees report to the Board of Trustees and generally focus on tasks related to the overall health and well-being of the church. Congregational Committees report directly to the Congregation and generally focus on the institutional structure of the church. Program Committees report directly to the Minister and generally focus on the hands-on programming of the church.
Committee tasks vary greatly and range from preparing the annual budget, identifying and training new leaders, taking care of our buildings and grounds, or organizing meal trains. No matter where your interests lie, there is a place for you to get involved here at First UU.
