When considering the current climate crisis, we may experience a range of responses, including: feelings of guilt, anger, and helplessness about harmful policies and actions; numbing out or turning away from the realities of climate change; paralysis and lack of motivation; and the tendency to do too much and push ourselves toward burnout. The term “climate grief” gives us a way of describing these reactions and reminds us that grief is an essential part of environmental justice work.
Please join us as we support one another in inner and collective work to make space for grief and build the strength to move forward.
12:30-2:30 pm: Part 1 will include journaling, mindfulness meditation and embodied practices, deep sharing and deep listening, and creating a group poem to be shared at the April 13 Earth Day church service.
2:30-4:30 pm: Part 2 will include an introductory Integrative Breathwork musical journey and mandala drawing expression (no art experience or skill required!) and a closing circle.
Light refreshments will be served, and childcare is available on request. You can learn more and sign up to attend
here.
Please register early to secure your spot for this unique experience! If space allows, we may open up the event to environmental groups from outside our church community.
