The annual UUA Common Read discussion hosted by the Denominational Connections Committee will be Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 7:00-8:15 PM by Zoom. Every year our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) picks a book for all in the association to read and discuss. For the 2022-2023 year, Mistakes and Miracles: Congregations on the Road to Multiculturalism (published by Skinner House Books) by Nancy Palmer Jones, a white UU minister, and Karin Lin, a lay person of color, is the selection. The authors explore five UU congregations’ journeys toward Beloved Community and share the joy, disappointment and growth these congregations found.
Our church bookshop has paperback copies now for sale for $10. The bookshop is open 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays. The book is interesting, well thought-out, and easy to read.
