We are a radically welcoming religious community. We welcome couples who are both members of our church, non-members, and those not affiliated with any church or religion. There is no requirement to be a Unitarian Universalist. We are happy to provide space for LGBTQ+ people and people who are marrying across the difference of their own religious backgrounds.

No, you do not need to be a member of the church.

Our Sanctuary is available for wedding ceremonies on Saturdays in the early afternoon or evening with rehearsals taking place on the Friday prior. 

Our Sanctuary can accomodate up to 400 people.

The sanctuary is semi-circular with the seating area wider than it is deep. There is a gentle downward slope from the rear of the sanctuary towards the front. Pews are padded. The sanctuary building includes a multi-user men’s restroom and a multi-user women’s restroom, plus an additional large restroom with a large mirror for use as a bridal suite.  Free parking is available on the church grounds for up to 137 vehicles.

Wedding fee for non-members is a base rate of $1500 plus a damage deposit of $500. A rental deposit of $100 is due when booking the event in order to reserve the date. A further $400 is due 90 days before the event. The balance is due 30 days before the event. If no damage occurs, the deposit is refunded within 1 week of the wedding.

The fee includes access to the sanctuary for 3 hours for the rehearsal and 3 hours for the wedding. The time allotted includes time to decorate and remove decorations.

The base rate includes setup of 3 microphones and a sound technician who will be present during the live portions of the rehearsal and wedding.

A dedicated facilities assistant will be present during the entire allotted time for the rehearsal and wedding.

The sound technician can play recorded music the wedding party provides in a variety of approved formats. Access to the church’s piano and microphone setup for live musicians can be provided for a nominal fee.

Flowers, decorations or decorating services are not provided. Couples are free to provide and put up their own decorations as long as the decorations can be installed and removed without any damage to any surface. Attaching devices such as tacks, nails and tape are prohibited. Decorations must be removed within the time allotted for the service. Removal of decorations can be arranged for a nominal fee.

Officiant services are not included in the cost of the wedding package. Based on the minister’s schedule, the officiant services may be available, but must be arranged with the minister directly and additional fees will apply. You are not obligated to use our minister for your ceremony and are welcome to propose an officiant of your choosing for approval by the Senior Minister.

We do not require premarital counseling to book our Sanctuary for your ceremony. Premarital counseling requirements will be determined by your officiant.

Rehearsals are held the Friday evening prior to the Saturday ceremony.

At this time we are not able to provide reception facilities.

Tours are available by appointment on Sunday’s at 12:30 pm after our Sunday Worship service. Email weddings@uusat.org to schedule a tour.

Complete and submit the Wedding Information Request Form located on this page. You will then be contacted by a church official to schedule a building tour and go over the fee structure. If you choose to have your wedding with us and your date is confirmed, you will fill out the wedding contract and submit your deposit.
