BOOK SIGNING BENEFITS CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Dr. Karen Waldron, longtime member of First UU of San Antonio, will be having a book signing of her latest book A Woman’s Journey: Not Done Yet immediately after the church service on January 28th. 100% of the proceeds from this book will benefit the Capital Campaign, with $803 already having been donated by members of the Retired UU Women’s group.
For a minimum donation of $20 per book, you’ll be taken on a profound reading journey that includes Karen’s speech given at the Conference of the General Federation of Iraqi Women, which was held that year in Baghdad. In addition to this powerful story and others of her own, she also included interviews with Dr. Maya Angelou and Dr. Doris Kearns Goodwin.
If you’d love to help with the Capital Campaign and in the process receive an amazing account of one woman’s journey as she advocates for children with special needs; finds peace after the death of her beloved husband; and also meets head on the challenges of growing older…then this is the book for you and/or someone you love!
Karen’s unofficial book agent is church member Stanna Welch, so if for some reason you’re unable to attend the book signing on the 28th but would like to have a book, please contact Stanna and she’ll make sure you get a copy.
