Mother’s Day usually includes cards and brunches and flowers and some really touching declarations of filial love. But mothers are not always entirely sweet or patient or gentle. Sometimes we growl and snap, and a wise person backs away slowly, making no sudden moves. Set aside the tea and roses because this Sunday we’re going to examine the undomesticated aspect of the maternal!
