Raz Akta Meir is a Mizrahi-Jewish Israeli with ancestral heritage from Yemen. He has a passion for preserving ancient Jewish-Yemenite silversmithing techniques and design. On May 25th, the UU’s for Justice in the Middle East (UUJME) First UU chapter is proud to host him via Zoom in the Sanctuary, from 12:30-1:30 PM after the service. There will be an interview followed by an open Q&A. Light snacks will be available in the choir room. Whether you are interested in art, Mizrahi Jewish history & culture, or another individual perspective on current events and the Israel-Palestine conflict, you should find this to be a worthwhile conversation.
