The proposed 8th Principle: “We covenant to affirm and promote: Journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
Church members will vote on whether to affirm and promote the 8th Principle here at First UU San Antonio at our Annual Congregational meeting on May 21st.
Our first session was a listening session in small group format. In this second session we will discuss the phrase “actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions,” consider how this might look in practice at First UU, and allow more time for Q & A in a larger group session.
There will be two sessions, one in person and one on Zoom. You can attend one or both of them.
