Please join us for our second fundraising workshop of gentle movement, poetry creation and survivor-story sharing on Friday, October 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Concrete Yoga, 203 Rawe Ave. in Cibolo.
A portion of the proceeds to benefit Free Battered Texas Women.
Our featured poet will be Una Case, a retired Army nurse born in Jamaica, whose spiritual poetry addresses her lived reality as a survivor of incest, sexism, and racism. Una’s book Introspections of the Heart will also be available to purchase.
The workshop will be taught by Cathy Marston, PhD, Executive Director of Free Battered Texas Women, coordinator of the Schertz Poetry Open Mic & a 500-hour trained yoga teacher, and Chris Billings, The Barefoot Poet and a Vietnam veteran.
