Choir and Music

Music is an integral part of our Sunday morning service. It serves as a tool for personal expression, bonding and community building. A visitor to our services will experience energetic hymn singing and hear a wide variety of musical styles that mirror the wide variety of sources we base our faith upon. Through music we can all experience the sacred whether as a participant or listener.

If you want to be of service and share your musical gifts, we welcome singers into our adult choir. We also offer children and youth choirs for young singers. Our church is further blessed with exceptional instrumentalists. Recent services have included beautiful music from such diverse instruments as a classical guitar, oboe, ocarina and violin. Adult choir rehearses on Saturdays from 11 am- 12 pm in the Sanctuary, from late August through early June. They typically perform three Sundays per month.

Children and Youth choirs rehearse on Sunday mornings from 9:00am to 9:30am in the Sanctuary from the beginning of September to the end of May. They perform occasionally throughout the year at our 11:00am Worship Service.

Children’s choir is open to all children who are in K- 5th grade. Youth choir (aka Circle Singers) is open to all youth in grades 6-high school. Children’s choir emphasizes enjoyment of music through singing, moving to music and playing rhythm instruments. Both groups emphasize the joy of making music with friends.
