Our Chosen Faith class is designed for those new to the Unitarian Universalist faith or people who want to deepen their UU faith.  The book A Chosen Faith: An Introduction to Unitarian Universalism by John Buehrens and Forrest Church will be discussed in class.  Books are available in the Emerson Bookstore and some copies may be available in the Mauk library, both located here on campus.  The class meets on Sundays at 9:30 am through November 2nd.

Theological Anthropology

American theologian Frederick Buechner has said that "all theology...is at its heart autobiography." In this course we will explore both. This will be an eight-week discussion of god, human beings, and salvation. We will review UU history and early theology by reading some of the works of Hosea Ballou and William Channing among others. Other readings from our UU tradition as well as various World Religions will be provided to stimulate discussion of our three major themes.

Black Lives Matter Follow Up

Throughout the Spring we held a series of Seminars about “Black Lives Matter” with the final Seminar focused on actions steps we can take as a congregation. A draft document was created, but it needs more work. Anyone interested is welcome to attend and assist in finalizing this document and discussing the creation of a steering committee to guide us going forward.

Help Make Lunches

Can you help provide lunches for asylum-seeking families released from detention to eat as they continue their journeys to join their American relatives or sponsors? The lunches are distributed at the bus station along with backpacks given by Interfaith Welcome Coalition. The Sanctuary Task Force invites you to this organizational meeting.
