The Hope of Easter April 4
with Scott Emerson-Price he/him and Rev. Mark Skrabacz he/him. Music performed by Jaime Ramirez he/him and our First UU Church Virtual Choir. The essence of Easter for some, especially Christians, is in the resurrection of Jesus, the hope of heaven, and life after death. Historically, Unitarianism was based on what we thought about Jesus. We had at least two points of view: that he was more than human, but less than God; and that he was a human being revered for his supreme teachings about loving our neighbor as ourselves, forgiving others instead of judging them, and showing us how to be more connected to our human spirit. Let’s examine what our UU Tradition teaches about the Hope of Easter.
