DESCRIPTION:This is a meetup for musicians looking to play classical and contemporary chamber music in a friendly and supportive environment. Sightreading knowledge is useful as we do it for practice here\, but we also have repertoire that we are continually refining. We will be working on songs for upcoming performances. Meet up and practices take place every Saturday from 4pm-5:30pm.\n\nOur repertoire:\nhttps://www.spikessignal.com/chamber-repertoire/\n(Average piece complexity is Grade 3)\n\nPlease bring:\nYour instrument (and associated components).\nIf possible\, the scores listed above on a tablet or printed.\nA pen and paper\, or tablet that can be marked up.\n\nWhat to expect:\nWhen you enter the building take a seat and get your instrument ready. We will all tune and then one of the group leaders will let everyone know what song from the repertoire we will be working on. Please bring a digital device that you can read music from. If you don’t have such a device\, you can look on with someone. We will make several passes through the selected song and try to make refinements\, though we will not be strict or punitive about mistakes or imperfects. Though some of us want to get songs performance read\, we all make things accessible so those that want to play for are comfortable! We look forward to meeting you!

DESCRIPTION:Come hang out and practice sight-reading in a low-pressure\, group setting. We’ll put brand-new music in front of you and see how far we can get on the very first read-through—no advance prep\, no homework\, just playing what’s on the page in real time. \nThis session is for players who can already read basic notation and want to get faster and more confident at turning written notes into sound on the spot. We’ll rotate through different styles and levels\, and focus on keeping the rhythm going instead of stopping for every mistake. \nBring your instrument\, a pencil\, and a willingness to miss notes\, laugh it off\, and keep going.

DESCRIPTION:Celestial Celebrations Circle invites you to a dark night labyrinth walk in the church labyrinth\, located on the west side of the Sanctuary. You may wear ritual garb or street or work clothes. This is an opportunity to walk in a meditative manner along a mostly circular path and retrace your steps. There is one bench on site\, but you may want to bring a chair. Tarot cards or soft hand drums are also welcome. If able\, please bring an item to donate to the food bank.
