Ware Lecture

Saturday, June 22, 9:00am-11:00am, Fellowship Hall – The Unitarian Universalist Association hosts a national convention each summer called General Assembly, where UUs from around the country gather for worship, witness, and connection. The highlight of each General Assembly is the Ware Lecture where a distinguished individual is invited to address the Assembly. This year’s Ware Lecturer is Richard Blanco. Selected by President Obama as the fifth inaugural poet in U.S. history, Richard Blanco is the youngest and the first Latino, immigrant, and gay person to serve in such a role. Join us for a recorded version of the Ware Lecture on Saturday, June 22 at 9:00 a.m. CDT in the Fellowship Hall. Coffee and a light breakfast will be served.
