Who Is ‘We’?
Rev. Marisol Caballero will look at who is often subtly—and not so subtly—referred to when Unitarian Universalists use the words “we” or “us,” how this has entered our personal and collective psyches, and the practical effect it has on our association of congregations.
Rev. Marisol Caballero is a Tejana from Austin, lifelong Unitarian Universalist, and a graduate of Union Theological Seminary. She currently serves the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Faith Development Office as Faith Innovation Specialist. Rev. Marisol also serves on the Diverse and Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM) Executive Committee. She co-founded the Central Texas UUs of Color group that meets monthly. She also serves on the board of Just Texas, an interfaith reproductive justice advocacy group and is a member of the Austin Justice Coalition.
