Clarence Darrow One-Person Show

Saturday, April 6, 7:00pm-9:00pm, Fellowship Hall – Here is the iconic attorney and champion of the underdog, reminiscing over his long and renowned career, touching on many of his famous trials, including the Scopes “Monkey” trial and the sensational Leopold and Loeb case. His progressive beliefs were ahead of his time, including his tireless fight against the death penalty. Darrow addresses much of America‚Äôs turn-of-the-20th-Century legal history with salty humor, courtroom gusto and human relish. His private life and many events of his time, including shocking labor conditions and communist hysteria, are woven into this story of a man who accepted unpopular cases and defended the weak against the strong.
